Tour of Upstate Cord Blood Bank

Thursday, December 19th, 2024 5:30pm to 7:00pm
Upstate Cord Blood Bank: 4910 Broad Rd, Syracuse, NY 13215
Registration required to attend

Join us for an overview and tour of the Upstate Cord Blood bank. Cord blood is rich in stem cells and remains in the umbilical cord after a baby is born. These cells contain natural abilities to renew and regenerate. Patients suffering from blood cancers or other life-threatening illnesses may use cord blood to treat their conditions and give them hope for a future. If this valuable resource is not preserved for patients in need of a transplant, it will be thrown away as medical waste. Upstate Cord Blood Bank is the only public cord bank in upstate New York.

The Upstate Cord Blood Bank is a separate building located on the Community Campus, close to Broad Road. Parking will be in Lot D, which is adjacent to the building. Security will be given the list of attendees. Attendance is limited!

Directions:

  • If you are turning onto Broad Road from South Ave, you will take the first left into Community and then a quick left to reach the security gate at Lot D.
  • If you are turning onto Broad Road from West Seneca Turnpike, you will take the second right into Community and then a quick left to reach the security gate at Lot D.
