Tour of American High Film Studios

American High is an indie movie production studio housed in a middle school-turned-studio. The facility has 100,000 sq-ft of interchangeable school sets, office space, and sound stages. Everything is contained under one roof, from a hospital wing, classrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, auditoriums, and parking for a fleet of trucks, gear, and the American High Eagles school bus!

In addition to creating their own coming-of-age high school comedies, the facility also houses the Syracuse Studios for production of third-party films, as well as the Film Academy of Syracuse Studios for training a sustainable ecosystem of skilled crew in Central NY by giving students hands-on experience in film production.

When COVID-19 closed down film production, the crew changed over the soundstages to help produce over 25,000 high quality face masks and face shields for medical centers across Central NY and beyond.

American High was named TACNYs 2023 Technology Company of the Year.
