SyracuseCoE Research & Technology Forum: Nanotechnology for Renewable Energy

Thursday, Jan. 30th; In person (727 E Washington Street, Syracuse, NY 13210) or online

Register today for SyracuseCoE’s January Research & Technology Forum, featuring Dr. Weiwei Zheng, an Associate Professor in SU’s Department of Chemistry. Learn about Dr. Zheng’s research on semiconductor nanocrystals (NCs), their unique dimension-dependent electric and optical properties, and their potential as photocatalysts for solar energy conversion and cost-efficient renewable energy harvesting.

Speaker:

Dr. Weiwei Zheng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Syracuse University. His research interests include the synthesis and properties of novel functional nanomaterials for emerging applications in renewable energy. Dr. Zheng has received several awards, including the ACS-PRF New Investigator Award (2018), the NSF CAREER Award (2020), and the Faculty Fellow of the Syracuse Center of Excellence (2023–2025), in recognition of his research at Syracuse University.
