Talk Overview:
“The Past, Present, and Future of Packaging” takes a look at the history of packaging, from Ancient Egyptian Papyrus to Modern Eco-Conscious Materials, answering questions on how the industry has changed over thousands of years, and what new and exciting innovations are coming soon. Learn about the different use cases for packaging materials, and how Packaging Engineers use math, physics, chemistry, and design to create packaging that we all use on a daily basis.

Biography:
AJ Piejko-Brown is the Lead Packaging Design Engineer at Lovevery, with over 10 years of experience in the packaging design industry. Prior to Lovevery, AJ served as a Senior Packaging Designer at NEMO Equipment and a Packaging Engineer at Hasbro, where responsibilities included creating innovative packaging structures for well-known brands while promoting sustainable practices. AJ began the professional journey with a Packaging Engineer internship at 3M, supporting diverse packaging projects, while studying Packaging Science at Rochester Institute of Technology.
