TACNY Awards

In 1989, TACNY began to annually recognize outstanding K-12 STEM educators across Central NY. A recognition dinner was held for all the winners, as well as individual award presentations at school board or school staff meetings. In addition to a plaque to both the winner and the school district, each Outstanding Teacher Award winner received an honorarium.

In 1999, we created the Celebration of Technology Awards to recognize outstanding individual, project, and company technology achievement, as well as for outstanding organizational and individual STEM outreach, and college STEM educators. In 2017, the teacher awards were combined into the Celebration of Technology, with a single award to both an elementary/middle school educator and high school educator.
