TACNY offers an annual STEM Trekkers program in the summer where middle schoolers experience an opportunity in science, technology, engineering, and math. This year’s program has a focus on aerodynamics, bio-materials and polymers, and lake science. These STEM concepts are locally connected to industry and organizations in our community!
Who Should Attend?
Any student entering grades 5 thru 9 with an interest in learning new things, asking questions, and seeing the “why” and “how” flight works in nature and aircraft, and improving materials, polymers, and process engineering in the paper and other industries!!

Where?
July 15 – 17 at Syracuse University from 9:00 – 4:00. Swag, snacks, lunch and field trips all included for free!
Session Overview:
- Tues, July 15th: Aerodynamics with Dr. Sun and team, Department of Aerodynamics Engineering at Syracuse University
- Wed, July 16th: Bio-materials with Syracuse University Professor Dr. Eric Finkelstein
- Thurs, July 17th: Process Engineering, with SUNY ESF, UFI, and Syracuse University
Note: Please note that students who can attend all three days will be considered first for entry into the program
